The Successor of Escaliers Rive-Sud

From his childhood, Olivier Grondin discovered a passion for woodworking and furniture making by watching his father and grandfather carve wood with their hands, true artisans. In adolescence, after years of tinkering, Olivier joined the team at Escaliers Rive-Sud, the company founded by his father, Michel Grondin. He gained valuable experience in the manufacturing and installation of wooden stairs and their components (posts, balusters, handrails, stringers, steps, fascias, etc.).

At the time of his career choice, it was only natural for Olivier to enroll in the DEP in cabinetry and furniture finishing in Saint-Hyacinthe. He officially joined the ERS team in 2010 after completing his DEP. In the early years, he practically held every production position, from cabinetry to sanding, installation, painting, and shipping. He then chose to take advanced courses in carpentry-woodworking to enhance his skills and acquire cutting-edge knowledge.

Olivier now wants to leverage the experience of the ERS team to deepen his knowledge. His goal: to be ready in a few years to take over the company alongside his older brother David!
